Understand what changes a Tanzania safari price: parks, accommodation, vehicle sharing, travel dates and transfers. Compare itemized quotes instead of misleading per-day averages.
How much does a Tanzania safari cost?
There is no reliable single price for every Tanzania safari. A quote depends on dates, group size, accommodation and route. Bundi’s itinerary pages show USD starting prices per person; use them as a starting point and request a quote for your own party. They are not a universal budget, mid-range or luxury tariff.
The main parts of a safari quote
- Accommodation: property, room type, number of nights and meal plan.
- Vehicle and guide: private or shared arrangements and how many travelers share the cost.
- Park and conservation charges: the parks visited, time inside and applicable visitor category.
- Routing: long drives, airport transfers, internal flights and one-way arrangements.
- Activities: which game drives and any optional activities are included.
Ask whether all applicable taxes and conservation or crater charges are included. TANAPA publishes tariffs for its parks; Ngorongoro charges should be checked with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. An old blog fee table is not a substitute for a current written quote.
Compare accommodation by what you receive
“Budget”, “mid-range” and “luxury” are broad labels, not standardized guarantees. Ask for the actual proposed properties, room arrangements, bathroom facilities and locations. A tented camp may provide very different facilities from basic camping. Availability and substitutions should be agreed before payment.
Compare Bundi’s three safari durations
View the 3-day, 4-day and 5-day Tanzania safari itineraries. They do not all list the same parks. Compare the complete route and services rather than dividing each headline price by days and assuming the cheapest result is equivalent.
Costs to check outside the package
- International flights, visa and required insurance.
- Personal travel insurance, medicines and vaccinations advised by your clinician.
- Tips, drinks, laundry and personal purchases unless explicitly included.
- Extra nights or transfers caused by your flight schedule.
- Optional activities and internal flights not listed in the quote.
Get a useful quote
When you ask Bundi’s Moshi team, include dates, traveler ages, party size, preferred parks and accommodation expectations. Ask for the total, payment terms, cancellation terms and possible price changes in writing. Read our northern parks guide to narrow your route first.
