Plan a Tanzania holiday around your interests and available time. Connect Moshi, Kilimanjaro, northern safari parks, local day tours and Zanzibar with realistic travel days.
Choose the anchor for your Tanzania trip
If climbing Kilimanjaro is your priority, choose the route and mountain schedule first. If wildlife is the focus, choose your parks and time inside them. Zanzibar can add beach time, while day tours near Moshi offer a shorter local experience. A focused itinerary is often more useful than rushing to include everything.
Arrival airports and transfers
Confirm the airport that fits your actual route before buying flights. Kilimanjaro International serves northern Tanzania travel; Zanzibar requires its own onward arrangements if you are arriving on the mainland. Give your team the flight number and arrival time, and confirm pickup, transfer cost and the first overnight stay. An airport name alone does not mean a transfer is included.
Allow enough days for the mountain and safari
Bundi offers Kilimanjaro treks lasting five to eight mountain days and safaris lasting three to five days. Arrival, rest, departure and onward connections may require extra days. Read our route comparison and combined-trip planning guide before fixing a total.
Add a local day experience
Around Moshi, consider Materuni waterfall and coffee, Chemka hot springs or Lake Chala. Confirm the correct tour, meeting point, activity demands and current conditions with the team. Treat a day tour as a real travel day, not an automatic extra after a long flight or mountain descent.
Zanzibar without rushed connections
Allow time for your transfer to the departure airport, flight check-in and island transfer. Keep flexibility around international departure arrangements, especially if tickets are separate. Ask for accommodation and transfer details rather than assuming the beach extension shares the same services as a safari.
Practical preparations
- Read the Tanzania visa guide and entry and health checklist.
- Confirm how you will pay for personal purchases; do not assume every small business accepts cards.
- Keep essential contact and itinerary details offline as connectivity can vary.
- Ask permission before photographing people and follow your guide’s advice in communities and wildlife areas.
- Check equipment and baggage requirements for every activity and flight.
Tell us what matters to you
When you ask Bundi’s Moshi team, share your dates, total days, party size, main interests and any travel already booked. Bundi Travel is based in Moshi and was founded in 2018; Emmanuel and the team began their travel experience in 2016. We can help shape the listed experiences into a practical proposal without promising unconfirmed properties or activities.
